Well, half way there

I have Part 1 done with 5 rail fences extra. Will start on the 9 patch this evening. Am going to do some research how to post pictures. So everyone can see my fabric and how my colors are coming together. This has been one of those days to play on the computer and work on a quilt. It is icy, cold, not much wind and can not see too far down the road.

New Project

I just joined a scrap quilt group on line. After seeing some of the other peoples stash I believe I am needing to pull out some lighter colors. I do have a BRIGHT teal with yellow gold in it so I might stick with that for my lighter color. Since I have gotten into the Reproduction fabric I do notice that I have gone to the darker colors.

I still need to learn how to get pictures into my blog.

Boy am I behind in blogging

This is the day after Thanksgiving. At least I am able to walk today. My spleen was really in pain yesterday. We played a new game called "31". The second game I won $8.00. Paid hubby back for the $2.00 in quarters he gave me so I could play.

I found a quilt I want to do for my son and d-i-l for their anniversary the end of May next year. It is called Celestial Migraine. It is on Planet Patchwork. There is a big sale at the local quilt shop today. Once I get dressed I will be heading to town. The quilt shows a black background but she is into the Patroitic colors so am looking at a tan with cirlcle lines in it.

I do wish everyone had a Wonderful Thanksgiving! ! ! After lunch we had our d-i-l's cousin and his girlfriend come over to the house. She came in yelling that she was engaged. She had a huge ring. Poor guy he still has a year of college. I believe she graduates in December.

July 1st

I am on my second block of appliquing my bed quilt. It has been a cloudy humid day. Have not done much.

Some day when I have the time I am going to call swooze to have her help me get more out of this blog site.

Working around the yard

Today was a very productive day. Hubby helped plant three rose bushes on the north of the house. Then I filled three round pots with flowers and a very large oval Tuscany planter with flowers. Then tomorrow will plant one more rose bush. Level the rings around them and then fertilize them and cover them with pine mulch. I also moved all the shelves and braces into the basement. Have one more planter to fill with flowers and a hanging pot with Rose Moss. Then back to the maintenance of the weeds and try to get a beautiful yard this year.

First Day of Blogging

This is new to me but think it will be fun. This will be a good way for me to keep track of my household chores and my quilting fun.

Today is Memorial Day and it is nice to all the flags flying and we have the wind to help them flare in the wind.

I did almost too much work in the freezer room and the garage yesterday so am taking it easy today. I have pulled a bucket of weeds and then came to start this blog. Now I am heading downstairs to do laundry and iron some fabric for my Catheral Window quilt. Then cut them into 9.5 inch squares. Need to also do some work on my Hoffman Challenge. Just don't have the feeling that I will get it done in time to enter it this year.

Thanks to Swooze on Quiltchat I decided to get this blog started.
